Watson Wyatt Names New Chief HR Officer

September 26, 2007 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Watson Wyatt Worldwide appointed Steve Mele, formerly of Mercer HR Consulting, as its chief human resources officer.

According to a press release, Mele will will be based in the Washington, D.C. office and assume responsibility for all human resources initiatives for the firm’s 7,000 employees worldwide.

He most recently held the position of chief people and technology officer at Mercer HR Consulting. Prior to that, he held senior level human resource positions in the United Kingdom and continental Europe at Prudential International, Standard Chartered Bank, Clearstream, and Schlumberger.
