West Virginia Launches Online Contribution Reporting Tool

July 25, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – WorkForce West Virginia and WV.gov have released the Online Contribution Reporting system, a new online tool to file unemployment insurance quarterly wage and contribution reports.

The new system is accessible through the WorkForce West Virginia Web site, and offers users a secure place to file wage reports, make payments, and maintain employee records.

Once registered to use the system, employers can enter wage information for each employee to be securely stored until the next filing period, and only updates are required each quarter. The system also calculates many of the reported values for employers. If a contribution is due, payment can be made by electronic check.

“We’re committed to improving efficiency and convenience of reporting for state employers,” said Governor Earl Ray Tomblin, in a press release. “We want to make it easier for employers to file.”

Employers who are currently using Wage Reporter can continue using the software to produce a file to be uploaded to the new online system.
