Wisconsin Consultant Offers ETFs

July 31, 2006 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Consulting and plan design firm, 401kDesign will soon offer exchange traded funds that are valued on a daily basis, a tactic the firm claims will save costs for employers and plan participants.

Because the Madison, Wisconsin-based firm is a independent provider, it can offer funds from several investment companies such as Vanguard, Barclays and NASDAQ to plan sponsors.

“Using daily valuated ETF’s is one way to defray costs, while still providing a solid investment strategy to employees,” said founder Ed Jaeger in a news release. “It’s our goal to help clients reduce their plan fees, and enable them to comply with Department of Labor regulations.”
