WWE General Counsel Pinned for Inappropriate Behavior

May 13, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – A former female worker of World Wrestling Entertainment has accused the company’s general counsel of sexual harassment.

Law.com reports that wrestling author Irv Muchnick said the worker from the WWE sales department accused Jared Bartie, executive VP and general counsel, of making unwanted sexual advances on her at a Wrestlemania 26 after-party in late March. It was reported that Bartie had been drinking at the time.

Bartie was initially suspended, but as the news of the harassment became more public, he was dismissed.

Muchnick reported that the accuser was also fired from the WWE in April – after allegedly being caught in a sex act with a subordinate male employee at the WWE’s work offices, during work hours, according to Law.com.

WWE has not commented on the incidents or released any details.
