TIAA Retirement Solutions CEO Steps Down
Kourtney Gibson left the company on September 30, and her successor has yet to be named.
Kourtney Gibson, TIAA’s CEO of retirement solutions, has stepped down after two years in the role. Gibson left TIAA on September 30, a TIAA representative confirmed.
“We look forward to announcing her successor in due course,” a TIAA spokesperson wrote in an email to PLANADVISER. “In the meantime, TIAA President and CEO Thasunda Brown Duckett is overseeing retirement solutions.”
Gibson oversaw TIAA’s 403(b) business and joined the firm in 2022 as senior executive vice president and chief institutional client officer, according to her LinkedIn profile. In 2024, she was named CEO of retirement solutions.
Prior to joining TIAA, Gibson was executive vice chair of Loop Capital, a Chicago investment bank, brokerage and advisory firm.
“As we continue executing on our long-term strategy, it was agreed it was the appropriate time to transition leadership,” wrote the TIAA spokesperson.
