I'm not sure how best to tee this video clip up - except to say that it's real (the "star" really is that inebriated). But the background music is what sets this particular video apart from anything you'll see this week!

TRIVIAL PURSUITS They are the oldest continuous, one-name, one-city franchise in all of professional American sports - Who are they?

Answer

The Philadelphia Phillies (the franchise dates back to 1883, the name "Phillies" to 1890).

Interestingly enough - though perhaps not surprisingly, considering the age of the franchise - the Phillies also have the "distinction" of having lost the most games of any team in the history of American professional sports.

Editor's Note: I got a number of notes from readers yesterday about the "on this day" reference to how game 5 of the World Series last year was rained out - "the first time that any game in World Series history has ever been suspended or shortened by weather or for any other reason."

The key words here are "suspended or postponed". MORE at http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20081028&content_id=3649991&vkey=ps2008news&fext=.jsp&c_id=mlb

Thanks, as always, to all who took the time to question...
