Acadient Releases Updated Fund Training Product

August 11, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - A Boston, Massachusetts-based online education developer has released the newest version of its Mutual Fund Industry Specialist Program (MFIS 4.0).

According to a news release from Acadient, the program, developed for The National Investment Company Service Association (NCSA), helps financial industry professionals, students, and investors learn about mutual fund history, regulations, providers, structure, operations, distribution and marketing.

The latest version of MFIS updates information, enhances the multimedia components, and increases the interactivity, according to Acadient.

The company said financial services industry clients can use MFIS 4.0 as part of employee training, for compliance with firm element requirements, as part of an employee development, compensation, and promotion program, or an enterprise-wide education and training program.

MFIS 4.0 includes 14 modules in three courses, covering approximately 24 hours of material. The courses include:

  • overview of the mutual fund industry
  • mutual fund operations
  • mutual fund distribution & marketing.

Upon successful completion of the entire program, students receive the MFIS designation and certificate. The NCSA maintains a database of designated MFIS professionals to ensure portability throughout the industry.

The program is available through The NCSA Online Training Center ( www.nicsa.org ) and the new Acadient Academy ( www.Acadient.com ).
