Acies Launched Paperless Payroll Platform for Employees without Bank Accounts

January 26, 2005 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Acies Corporation has announced a paperless payroll solution meant for employers who issue paper check to 'unbanked' employees.

Acies, which provides payment processing and electronic banking services to small and medium-sized American merchants, has launched The Acies Payroll Card Platform, which enables employers to issue employee payroll cards, pay wages and check payroll history, according to a press release. The personalized card, offered to employees, allows immediate access to funds and is accepted at millions of ATMs across the country, according to the company.

Also available with the solution is prepaid health, dental and legal coverage, according to the release.

“Every week, millions of paper payroll checks are issued to employees who do not have a checking or savings account,” said Oleg Firer, CEO of Acies, in the release. “Our paperless payroll solution makes these funds immediately available to employees in the form of a universally accepted VISA debit card that can be used at ATMs or storefronts.”
