To help companies provide the tools and support to help employees make smarter health care decisions, Alight Solutions unveiled its new Compass health care navigation solutions.
The new solutions, which will be available early in the fourth quarter, combine the data-driven technology and health care experts recently acquired through Compass Professional Health Services with Alight’s benefits administration platform, enrollment expertise and employee experience, the firm says.
Recent data from Alight and the National Business Group on Health reveals 60% of people say they have never compared costs for medical services for different providers or facilities, and 45% have never asked whether a certain treatment or prescription drug is right for them. Less than half of those surveyed (44%) have never asked a provider or insurance company about cost or researched the price of recommended medical services.
Alight is introducing two health care navigation products to meet the unique needs of organizations:
Compass Navigator: Helps organizations transform the employee health care and health benefits experience and guarantees health care cost savings when paired with Alight’s benefits administration platform.
Compass Consumer: Helps organizations that are dissatisfied with high-cost health care and inconsistent doctor and hospital quality to optimize their health plan networks with high-quality, cost-effective care.
Available online, via mobile and UPoint (Alight’s proprietary HR and benefits portal), the new solutions help employees find highly rated and cost-effective providers, guide them to the right programs and help them find lower cost prescriptions.
