CalSTRS Selects bWise Guys for Retirement Plan Education
July 20, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – The California State Teachers’ Retirement System (CalSTRS) has turned to bWise Guys, LLC to create a Web-based retirement plan education portal for California school employees.
Reported by Rebecca Moore
The site will allow school personnel to learn the workings of their 403(b) and 457(b) plans, as well as access forms, documents, and vendor information, according to a press release. It will contain a mix of content that is standard across all school districts and content that will be customized for each individual school district.
bWise Guys, LLC and CalSTRS are aiming for a spring 2011 launch.
“We intend to create an easy-to-use tool that makes understanding and participating in the 403(b) and the 457(b) supplemental retirement plans simple,” said Dan Otter, a former California school teacher, and owner of bWise Guys, LLC, in the announcement.
