According to a press release, James “Jim” Locke has been a financial advisor since 1986. He worked at Morgan Stanley for 18-1/2 years. There he met Bryan Cassells, who has been a financial advisor since 2003.
Jim and Bryan formed their team, The Locke-Cassells Group, and together went to Legg Mason. Ultimately, Legg Mason was purchased by Smith Barney, who was then acquired by Morgan Stanley. Jim and Bryan left Morgan Stanley Smith Barney on December 11th to join Capital Guardian, LLC, according to the announcement.
Jim and Bryan join Marc Perkins, Don Bergeron and Chris Misenhelder, all of whom joined the office in the last six months from “wirehouse” firms. The firm’s Charlotte office opened in June, 2009, and Senior Vice President Tony Montanari expects to have a full complement of 9 financial advisors at that location in the next six months, according to the firm.
Capital Guardian, LLC is a regional investment brokerage firm with 17 offices in North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee. More information about the firm is available at www.capitalguardianllc.com.
