CareerBuilder Unveils Health Care Jobs Site

July 19, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Internet job site CareerBuilder has launched MiracleWorkers.com to help health care organizations find qualified workers.

According to a news release, MiracleWorkers.com uses a network of specialized health care job sites, such as WorkInNursingJobs.com and workInCriticalCare.com to reach targeted audiences with employers’ jobs and branding.

MiracleWorkers.com allows job seekers to search opportunities by location and position and to apply for jobs, learn more about health care, explore education opportunities, and get career advice.

“Health care organizations often need to hire staff quickly, in a variety of areas, to meet the growing needs of their patients,” said Ben Jablow, managing director of MiracleWorkers.com. “MiracleWorkers.com helps health care organizations meet that demand quickly by finding the right talent for their wide range of open positions.”

Health Care Hiring Poll

Meanwhile, the news release said, CareerBuilder’s mid-year health care forecast reveals that health care employers plan to continue to hire workers throughout the second half of the year. Some 44% of health care organizations surveyed for the forecast said they plan to hire new employees in the months of July through December.

More than one-third (34%) said they plan to hire full-time workers in the second half of the year, while 28% said they plan to hire part-time or contract employees. In addition, health care is one of the top industries to report a skills deficit, with 63% of hiring managers in large health care organizations stating they have a shortage of qualified workers.

The poll was conducted online within the U.S. by Harris Interactive on behalf of CareerBuilder.com among 277 U.S. health care workers (employed full-time; not self-employed; non government); ages 18 and over between May 18 and June 3, 2010.
