CareerTours Expands Recruiting Reach

January 29, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - CareerTours, a Web 2.0 recruiting tool that allows career seekers to virtually "experience" their next career, has announced the launch of over 1,000 new job boards.

The new job boards will consist of city-specific boards, industry-specific boards, and hundreds of partner sites, the announcement said. The company features interactive video postings and a viral marketing system that connects the right careers with the right candidates.

“By launching these new city and niche specific boards, we’re not only providing a more streamlined system for job seekers, we’re giving our partners new options for reaching those hard-to-attract candidates,” said Aaron Bare, CEO of CareerTours, in the announcement.

Every career that is posted on CareerTours is cross-posted throughout an online network that includes Google, MySpace, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Jobster. The viral marketing tool sends job postings to potential candidates. Postings are also emailed to employer networks and can be passed along by friends and colleagues to reach “passive” candidates who may not be looking for a new job but may be a right fit.
