Co-Worker Sued for "Negligent Dancing"

Lacey Hindman, 22, was at Stanley’s Kitchen and Tap with a group of co-workers last April when David Prange allegedly grabbed her by the forearms – and, without warning, flipped her into the air, “jitterbug-style”, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Hindman’s “flight” was short-lived, and she subsequently crashed headfirst into the wood floor. She suffered a fractured skull and brain injuries as a result, and is now suing Prange – whose wife, Kate, owns the Shop Girl store where Hindman worked.

The dancing incident came after a book-signing at the store, and all employees were required to attend the after-party, according to the report.

Her lawsuit, recently filed in Cook County Circuit Court, seeks damages for medical bills, lost wages for time she missed from work and future losses due to her injuries.
