DTCC Training Program Meant to Broaden Understanding of Its Business
The certification will first be offered in the
asset services area, with the clearing and settlement
program following in the fourth quarter of 2006.
“The DTCC Learning certification program dovetails with
the industry’s push for the standardization of
credentials among its operations professionals,” said
Rosemary Kurtti, vice president, DTCC Customer Training
and Information Products, in a press release. “Plus,
the program strengthens customers’ continuity planning by
providing a map of where DTCC-related skills reside
within their organization.”
The DTCC Learning certification program is meant to
broaden securities operations professionals’
understanding of the clearing corporations’ and
depository’s businesses and how they relate to the wider
financial industry. Customers will learn how to operate
DTCC’s systems and how to recognize and respond to common
and uncommon situations that may arise when processing
securities through a DTCC subsidiary.
The certification will last for two years, upon which continuing education will be required to keep the certification.
