EBSA Brings Fiduciary Workshop to Springfield, Mo.

May 20, 2008 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The U.S. Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) is bringing its fiduciary workshop to Springfield, Missouri.

The free workshop, designed to help employers understand their fiduciary responsibilities under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), will take place on May 22 from 8 a.m. to noon CDT at:

The “Understanding Your Responsibilities under ERISA” workshop will provide an overview for small and medium size employers on the act’s requirements.   Employers also will receive an overview of the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) and EBSA’s Voluntary Fiduciary Correction Program.
