Enron Executive Desks Go for Charity

March 19, 2007 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The desks used by ex-Enron executives Ken Lay, Jeff Skilling, and Richard Kinder are being auctioned on e-Bay for charity.

The executive desks were donated to Saving Animals, a nonprofit animal protection organization.   According to a press release, the one-of-a kind desks were designed by Gensler Architects and fabricated by Brochstein’s – and would cost well into five-figures if manufactured today.

The items are:

  • e-Bay Item: 220091903388 – executive desk used exclusively by Ken Lay, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Enron, from 1987 through 2002
  • e-Bay Item: 220091904569 – executive desk used by Richard Kinder and Jeffrey Skilling during the time they served as president of Enron.

The charity will auction the items exclusively on e-Bay through March 24, 2007 with all proceeds benefiting the group’s spay, neuter and adoption programs.
