First Mercantile Unveils Web Education Program

April 10, 2006 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Memphis-based First Mercantile has announced the launch of GuidancePlus, an education Web interface that helps employees make retirement savings and investment decisions.

A First Mercantile news release said that the new offering is free for First Mercantile plan participants at its participant web site at www.yourinvestmentaccount.com.

GuidancePlus offers participants a range of educational material, multiple financial planning calculators and a retirement planning/asset allocation tool, according to the news release.

In addition, participants can implement any contribution or investment changes resulting from the analysis performed by GuidancePlus.

First Mercantile supports plan sponsor efforts to encourage their employees to use GuidancePlus by providing plan sponsors with a demo Web site, participant user guide, introduction letter, fact sheet and paycheck inserts as well as a report to track participant usage, the news release said.
