GE Asset Management Names New President and CEO

May 15, 2006 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Ronald Pressman has been named President and CEO of GE Asset Management.

According to the announcement, Pressman succeeds John Myers, who is retiring after 37 years of employment with General Electric.

Most recently, Pressman was Chairman, President and CEO of GE Insurance Solutions, the announcement said. Other key leadership roles in GE have included leading GE Capital Real Estate from 1997 to 2000 and, prior to that, leading GE Power Systems’ Product Businesses and Technology Programs. He also spent six years in Europe as CEO of GE Power Systems Europe and General Manager of GE’s Central and Eastern European operations.

Keith Sherin, GE Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, said in the announcement, “[Pressman] is highly qualified to continue the prudent management of GE’s pension assets and continue the business growth strategies for external clients.”

Stamford, Connecticut-based GE Asset Management is a diversified, multi-asset manager with approximately $200 billion of client assets under management.
