The campaign, titled “Celebrate Saving,” includes a poster, flier and e-mail to:
- Promote the benefits of tax-deferred saving through an employer-sponsored plan,
- Encourage consolidating retirement accounts to simplify savings strategies,
- Show how increased contributions can potentially lead to more retirement income, and
- Increase awareness of catch-up contribution opportunities.
Great-West said it also added a banner on its www.gwrs.com participant Web site that links to an interactive animation highlighting these points and allowing viewers to learn more about these key elements of the retirement saving process.
“In light of recent market volatility, we want to reinforce the importance of saving and investing for the long term. Our National Save for Retirement Week campaign uses our enhanced website and other communications channels to encourage workers not only to participate in their plans but also to consider increasing their contribution rates and implementing other strategies to strengthen their retirement preparations,” said Gregg Seller, Senior Vice President of Government Markets, in a news release.
