Hiring among Nonprofits Looking Up

September 16, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The outlook for hiring among nonprofits is looking up, according to a survey by Idealist.org.

The survey found 91% of nonprofit organizations plan to maintain or add employees in the next year.

According to Newsmax, Idealist.org reports that job postings were up 14% in August over the same time last year.

The increase backed up a survey of 3,000 nonprofits conducted earlier this year, which found that most are optimistic about the future, the news report said. For example, 47% of those surveyed said they also plan to increase salaries between 1% and 8%.
