Illinois TRS Looking for Investment Help
June 22, 2012 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – The Teachers’ Retirement System of Illinois (TRS) is seeking firms to provide general investment consulting services, assist in the enhancement of the its investment performance system and provide advice for co-investment opportunities in real estate.

Officials will issue three requests for proposals that cover:
- General Investment Consultant Services – TRS is seeking candidates to assist the system with its investment process, including review of asset allocation, asset class structure and performance;
- Investment Performance System – TRS is seeking solutions to provide better efficiency and flexibility within its internal performance reporting, as well as better integration between TRS and its custodian; and
- Real Estate Co-Investment Program – TRS is seeking candidates to provide advisory services for potential co-investment opportunities within the system’s $4.4 billion real estate portfolio.
TRS officials expect to have the RFPs posted on the system’s website, http://trs.illinois.gov/, by June 30.
