Knez to Head BGI Fixed Income Research

February 18, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Barclays Global Investors (BGI) has tapped a new head of its US Active Fixed Income Research unit.

The company announced it had turned to Peter Knez to be a BGI Managing Director in addition to running its domestic active fixed-income research. BGI said the move came as it is expanding its $29-billion global fixed income business.

According to BGI, Knez was previously executive vice president and managing director of fixed income at Lincoln Capital Management. He joined Lincoln in 1996. Knez has held a number of academic positions over the past six years and is currently Adjunct Professor of Finance at the Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University.
