LIMRA Cancels Conferences in Wake of WTC Disaster

September 11, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Due to the national emergency prompted by the attacks on the World Trade Center and other locations, LIMRA International has canceled its conferences scheduled to begin in Chicago on Wednesday.

  • Group Insurance and Health Care Marketing and Sales Conference.

“Amid the uncertainty and disruption of the national transportation system, the safety of our members and other conference participants is paramount,” LIMRA CEO and President Rich Wecker said in a statement on the LIMRA Web site.

LIMRA is an insurance marketing company.
