LOMA Institute Unveils Retirement Planning Course

July 24, 2014 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – The LOMA Secure Retirement Institute launched “Planning for a Secure Retirement,” the third course in its education and certification program.

The course gives an overview of the retirement planning process, describes the primary components of a retirement plan, and identifies the tools that help organizations create a retirement plan, explains Katherine Milligan, senior vice president of LOMA’s education and training division.

Candidates who earn credit for all three courses will be awarded the LOMA Secure Retirement Institute Certificate in Retirement Essentials. “Planning for a Secure Retirement” is a self-paced online course with video scenarios and a variety of interactive learning options. Participants can complete each course in 7 to 10 hours.

The program, which addresses employees who support retirement plans or work with products serving the retirement marketplace, is already being used by more than 125 organizations, according to LOMA.

The LOMA Secure Retirement Institute initially launched in late 2013, in collaboration with LIMRA. More information about the LOMA FSRI program is available here.
