Mercer Hires Norwalk Office Leader

November 30, 2011 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Ted Nussbaum has joined Mercer as Norwalk (Connecticut) office leader and senior client manager.

Nussbaum has lead responsibility for revenue generation and client satisfaction for a number of Mercer’s biggest clients. He also is a member of the New York Metro Market Leadership Team. He will report to Mary Tinebra, Mercer’s New York metro market leader. 

Prior to joining Mercer,Nussbaum served as US east division health and group benefits leader at Towers Watson.  He began his career with Towers Watson in 1993 with then Wyatt Company, where he held numerous leadership positions including practice director, group health care consulting/North America, east division director of group and health care consulting and managing Consultant of Watson Wyatt’s Stamford, Connecticut office. Earlier in his career, Nussbaum was a partner with Coopers & Lybrand.  

Nussbaum received a BA in economics from Queens College, New York City, an MPA in Health Policy, Planning and Administration from New York University, and his MS from the Pace University Graduate School of Business.  He currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of The Stamford Center for the Arts.
