MFS Picks DLJdirect for Self-Directed Option

Retirement Services will offer a self-directed participant
investment option through an agreement with DLJdirect, the
online brokerage service of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette,
Inc.

MFS clients who meet certain criteria will have access to:
- Trading in stocks, mutual funds and IPOs
- Real-time quotes and news
- Research
Participants will be able to access DLJdirect via a variety of platforms, including the Internet and wireless devices, as well as TradeTalk, DLJdirect’s touch-tone trading system.
MFS Retirement Services has more than $18.6 billion in retirement assets and an account base of more than 725,000 participants nationally as of June 30, 2000.
This is the third such agreement negotiated by DLJdirect in the past four months, including agreements with John Hancock and Nationwide.
