Morgan Stanley Releases Institutional Share Class
October 9, 2013 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Morgan Stanley Investment Management unveiled an institutional share class to improve transparency and lower fees for defined contribution (DC) plans and other institutional investment platforms.
Reported by John Manganaro
The institutional shares have no distribution, shareholder service or sub-transfer agency payments, upping the transparency of investment management costs within a retirement plan. Designers intended the class primarily for use in retirement plans with more than $250 million in assets, but shares will be available to eligible investors who can meet an initial investment minimum of $10 million.
Investors can access 18 Morgan Stanley funds through institutional shares.
