PCAOB Launches New Web Site

February 3, 2010 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – The Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) is set to formally unveil its redesigned and expanded Web site on Thursday.

A board news release said the site features a new layout, updated content organization, and an improved search function. More frequently viewed pages are now accessible from the home page and new pages have been added with information about the PCAOB’s International program and Research & Analysis activities, according to the announcement.

“The redesigned Web site enhances the PCAOB’s transparency efforts by making registration, inspection, standard setting and enforcement information more accessible and user-friendly to the investors, auditors and other interested parties who use our site,” said Acting PCAOB Chairman Daniel L. Goelzer, in the announcement.

The new look and layout is also designed to accommodate users with special needs in accessing information on the Internet. The site allows users to change font size, convert to black-and-white screen display, and use adoptive browsers and screen readers, the announcement said.
