Peoples Beefs Up Variable Annuity

May 3, 2004 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Peoples Benefit Life Insurance Company has added four new sub-accounts and increased flexibility in death benefit options, into its Advisor's Edge variable annuity.

The Advisor’s Edge variable annuity is a no-load variable annuity available exclusively through fee-only advisors and issued by Peoples.

A total of 54 sub-account investment options are currently available within the variable annuity. The new options complement the product’s range of asset classes and investment options, as well as give policy-owners and their advisors access to Fidelity Management & Research Company and Capital Guardian Trust Company sub-accounts.

Fidelity Management & Research Company will manage the VIP Mid Cap Portfolio and the VIP Value Strategies Portfolio. The VIP Mid Cap Portfolio is a medium cap, blended sub-account, and the VIP Value strategies Portfolio is a small cap, value sub-account.

Capital Guardian Trust Company will be the sub-advisor for the Capital Guardian Global and Capital Guardian Value sub-accounts.   Capital Guardian Global and Capital Guardian Value are large cap value blended and large cap value portfolios, respectively.
