Today, PLANSPONSOR is pleased to announce the inaugural winners of its new Service Star award program, recognizing individual retirement plan account reps and relationship managers who have, based on descriptions provided by plan sponsor clients, demonstrated exemplary service over the past year.
The nine 2015 PLANSPONSOR Service Stars are:
- Matt Reilly, Aon Hewitt
- Sandrean Thompson, Bank of America Merrill Lynch
- Peggy Bernath, BOK Financial
- Ed Homer, Empower Retirement
- Shannon Bray, Fidelity Investments
- Gerald Erickson, Milliman Inc.
- David Parker, The Standard
- Mario Quiroz, Transamerica Retirement Solutions
- Aerika Walker, VALIC
Derived from PLANSPONSOR’s 2014 Defined Contribution (DC) Survey, the individuals were chosen by the PLANSPONSOR Surveys & Research team, which culled through more than 2,000 written client comments, wherein plan sponsors were asked to give examples of specific instances where their recordkeeper account representatives went above and beyond “great customer service.”
“Needless to say, despite the overwhelming task of having to read all of those comments, there were some descriptions that showed service that went well beyond even excellent client attention,” notes Quinn Keeler, senior vice president of Research & Surveys at Asset International. “Our team came down to just nine winners out of all those comments.”
The 2015 Service Stars will be officially recognized at the PLANSPONSOR/PLANADVISER Awards for Excellence Dinner on March 31 in New York City, and each of the nine Service Stars will be profiled in a story in the May 2015 issue of PLANSPONSOR.
