According to a Principal announcement, it will provide five Care Enhancement packages to its self-funded customers through a distribution agreement with American Healthways.

Principal said each package includes disease management tools, chronic illness support services, and education resources aimed at helping employees better manage their health ailments.

Services include one-to-one nurse counseling, condition monitoring for early signs of health complications, 24×7 access to registered nurse and collaboration services with the primary care or treating physician.
