StoneTapert Launches Benefits Site

StoneTapert Insurance Services Inc., an employee benefits consulting firm, launched a benefits website.

For employers, the site addresses areas such as rising healthcare costs, renewal strategies, open enrollment, compliance, employee education, claims support and Medicare transitions.

The site also includes a benefits knowledge center, which provides employee benefits information; FAQs; and resources for human resources teams, business leaders and employees.

FINRA, NFA Cross-Link Investor Protection Databases

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the National Futures Association cross-linked their investor protection databases.

FINRA’s BrokerCheck tool, which allows investors to research the background and experience of its member broker/dealers and their registered representatives, now directly links to NFA’s Background Affiliation Status Information Center, a tool for researching the background of derivatives industry professionals and firms. BASIC also added a reciprocal link to BrokerCheck.

“Investors seeking to perform their own due diligence on a financial professional have faced a daunting challenge: The information they need is often spread across multiple databases,” said Christine Kieffer, FINRA’s senior vice president of investor education, in a statement. “We are helping investors more easily research the professionals they are entrusting with their investments and finances.”

FIS Launches Cloud-Hosted Version of Retirement Platform

FIS Global, a financial technology company, launched a cloud-hosted version of its FIS Retirement Platform, available to plan providers and third-party administrators.

The new version of the platform is intended to provide personalized participant guidance, back-office automation and plan health analytics.
