Segal Hires VP and Consulting Actuary in Atlanta

joined The Segal Company’s public-sector health practice in Atlanta as vice president
and consulting actuary.

Rasmussenhas more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field. Most recently, he was a vice president in Aon Hewitt’s health consulting practice in Atlanta where he worked closely with several state Medicaid agencies. Rasmussen has extensive experience with HMOs, MCOs and state high-risk pools in strategic planning, provider contracting, product design, financial projections, rate filings, experience studies, product pricing and reserves.
He holds a B.S. in mathematics from Regents College (now called Excelsior College, Albany, New York) and an M.A. in mathematics from California State University, Fullerton. Rasmussen is also a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
