Social Security Office Launches Site For Women

May 16, 2001 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - "For Women" is a new Web site launched by the Social Security Administration (SSA), which focuses on the specific needs of women who as a group live longer than men, earn less and rely on Social Security for most of their retirement income.

The site provides basic Social Security program information on retirement, survivors benefits, disability and Supplemental Security Income benefits pertinent to women and provides links to basic information through SSA’s official website, Social Security Online.

The links are grouped in logical categories to coincide with the various life events affecting women, categories include:
