S&P Introduces Real Estate Reports
In a news media announcement, S&P said its “Real Estate Equity Fund Manager Assessments” offer investors and managers alike insight into the operational capabilities, performance statistics, and investment management style of real estate fund managers.
The assessments provide analyses and evaluations that can give investors a tool for comparing different managers and fund types.
Developed through a meeting with senior management and analysis of relevant processes, asset performance data, and other information, each report evaluates the consistency between a fund’s objectives and its manager’s performance record, organizational structure, operations, and investment processes, among other factors, the company said.
Each report begins with an opinion that summarizes Standard & Poor’s analytical findings. Following a manager profile, the report provides three main sections that assess a manager’s organization, investment management, and performance track record.
