Strategic Retirement Group Expands Team

He will be responsible for new business growth in the not-for-profit and corporate markets. This is a new position created in response to the company’s 25% growth this year, David Hinderstein, president of Strategic Retirement Group in White Plains, New York, told PLANSPONSOR. Margiotta is also based in White Plains.

Margiotta is a 25-year veteran of the industry, most recently working at Diversified, where he held many executive positions. He previously served as national sales manager for the large corporate and not-for-profit markets at Great-West. He also spent two years at Gallagher.

Margiotta has a B.S. in business administration from Iona College. He holds FINRA Series 6, 26, 63 and 65 registrations.

“We’ve had 25% growth this year, and Peter will continue that trend and take it to new heights,” Hinderstein said.

He added that Strategic Retirement Group anticipates several more hires in the next 12 months; they are looking for a chief investment officer and additional advisers.

Strategic Retirement Group is an independent and full service retirement plan consulting firm, with industry experience in the not-for-profit sector, launched in 2006 by 29-year veteran Hinderstein.
