Survey Shows Positive Executive Job Market Outlook
February 15, 2006 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - At least 57%
of executive recruiters have experienced a significant
increase in hiring in the past 12 months, according to the
results of a recent survey released by NETSHARE.
Reported by Rebecca Moore
In its news release, NETSHARE said the poll of its subscribers, who are senior managers in all market areas, determined that across the board, executives are on the move.
Other survey results include:
- 36% of respondents said that technology has the highest demand for senior management.
- 26% said that the Northeast is experiencing the most growth in executive hiring, while 62% said Canada is experiencing the least amount of growth.
- 55% said that the length of time for an executive search has increased with most searches lasting from two to three months.
NETSHARE said the US government prediction that 2.2 million new jobs will be generated this year, boosting annual average employment to 135.8 million, may be the cause of an increased confidence in the economy that may help explain the high number of executives being sought by various industries.
NETSHARE, www.netshare.com, is a confidential subscription-based career site for executives earning $100,000 or more.
