The Principal Messenger, the new service that aims to save time and help stem information overload, according to the company, organizes messages by topic and separates ‘action-needed’ email from others messages. Plan sponsors can also save more time by assigning the reports to appropriate recipients, the company asserts.
Messages are deleted after a set time to avoid a back-log of messages.
The Principal hails the service as helpful to plan sponsors both because of the customization available and because of the focused information it provides without excess e-mails.
The Principal ( www.principal.com ) provides 401(k) and retirement solutions. It is a member of the Fortune 500, and has $156 billion in assets under management, with 14.7 million customers.
