Transamerica Creates Digital Financial Wellness Center

It covers a wide range of topics, from budgeting to preparing for retirement.

Transamerica has launched a new online Financial Wellness Center covering a broad range of topics, from budgeting to preparing for retirement.

Transamerica says it has launched the Financial Wellness Center at a time when many Americans are financially stressed, citing a recent survey by the National Endowment for Financial Education that found 88% of Americans say the coronavirus is causing stress on their personal finances. More than half say their top reason for financial stress is not having enough savings.

The center incorporates 30 specialized education playlists, which contain short videos, lessons and other tools to help users learn about financial fitness. The courses are available in English and Spanish and can be accessed on phones or tablets as well as computers. Many items can be completed in three to six minutes.

“Financial education is a key component to making smart decisions now and for the future,” says Kent Callahan, chief executive officer of Transamerica’s workplace solutions division. “Transamerica’s new Financial Wellness Center helps participants plan to meet their goals today and to improve expected retirement outcomes in the future. Especially during these uncertain times, education is critically important in helping people build financial security.”
