That two-sentence contract gave birth to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE).

Answer: Ronald Reagan
On March 28, 1985, President Ronald Reagan made his first of two visits to the NYSE.
Not that we asked, but in case you were wondering, President George W. Bush was the second sitting President to visit the Exchange during the trading day (on January 31, 2007).
