Watson Director of Retirement Research to Retire

August 16, 2006 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Watson Wyatt Worldwide's director of retirement research and director of US benefits consulting, Sylvester Schieber, will retire in September.

Schieber authored or edited 10 books dealing with changing demographics, retirement security and health issues, according to Business Insurance. Since 1998, he has served on the US Social Security Advisory Board, a bipartisan panel that advises the president, Congress and the Social Security commissioner on issues related to Social Security.

Mark Warshawsky will succeed Schieber as director of retirement research, Business Insurance reports. Prior to joining Watson Wyatt, Warshawsky served two years as the US Treasury Department’s assistant secretary for economic policy.

Watson Wyatt has not named a new director of US benefits consulting.
