Workers Stress over Work-Life Imbalance

May 20, 2002 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - Seven out of ten workers responding to an online survey said they don't have a healthy work-life balance, while half of respondents said the home-office tension prompted them to get back in the job market.

The survey by TrueCareers, an online job board, found that 43% of those reporting the work-life imbalance blamed too many hours spent at the office.

Not only that, but some 36% said worrying about work when at home has prompted them to sacrifice a portion of their personal life.

The TrueCareers survey, covering 1,626 respondents who visited the company’s Web site in April 2002, was the latest of the company’s periodic studies of career topics.
