Americans Are Unhappy With Work/Life Balance

August 27, 2003 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - As more than seven out of 10 (71%) American workers are clocking more than 40 hours per week, it is little wonder that most workers are unhappy with their work/life balance.

Eighty percent of American workers are unhappy with the balance struck between their working lives and the rest of their life. This in turn translates to a complete lack of satisfaction with their job as an even greater majority (83%) said they were not satisfied with their job, according to Monster’s 2003 Work/Life Balance survey.
