FRA Launches ERISA Litigation Blog

April 22, 2013 (PLANSPONSOR.com) – Fiduciary Risk Assessment (FRA)/PlanTools has launched a blog and companion ERISA Litigation Index.

The blog features contributions from Managing Director David J.Witz, Director of Fiduciary Oversight Thomas E. Clark Jr., and IT Director Justin D. Witz. The blog and proprietary Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) Litigation Index provide access to pertinent information to help practitioners and plan sponsors stay current on litigation activity.

The blog aims to provide original and informative content to plan sponsors, advisers, consultants, ERISA attorneys, CPAs and any other party interested in the fiduciary obligations of ERISA.

For each case, the index will list:

  • Basic information, such as the name of the District Court, the case number and the names of the judges;
  • The issues under litigation;
  • The lawyers involved;
  • A copy of the latest operative complaint and significant motions and orders; and
  • Selected commentary about the cases.

The new resources will also track the docket— the list of documents filed by the attorneys and judges—for each case, as well as any important court order or motion filed, in order to offer timely access to important information that may affect plan sponsors’ fiduciary governance strategies.

FRA/PlanTools clients will also see additional services added to the company’s benchmarking, adviser RFP system and fiduciary governance module as a result of this activity.

The blog is accessible at http://blog.fraplantools.com.
