Man Sues NY DoL for Sexual Discrimination
The Associated Press reports that Michael Cunningham, the department’s director of training, claims he complained to his female immediate supervisor about the lack of minority hirings and promotions and that all employees in management positions were female. He said that once he complained, he was verbally abused and subjected to a hostile work environment.
The suit names the department’s top three officials as defendants, according to the AP. A New York Department of Labor spokesperson declined to comment on the case, but told the AP that the second highest ranking official in the department is a man.
