Oracle Unveils HR Systems Evaluator

An Oracle press release said officials can use the “Quick Start” option in the Oracle HRMS Configuration Workbench to compare alternative prototype configurations – enabling them to eliminate unnecessary costs and reduce implementation schedules.   When they find one they like, Oracle said users can export or import a copy of the configuration and generate the same working configuration on any number of systems.

The new offering also introduces new configuration and data migration wizards with embedded expertise for specific industries and geographies, helping ensure that the client’s requirements and business processes are met.

“Because human resource processes are linked to nearly every aspect of the organization and must adhere to complex local rules and regulations, the configuration and implementation of human resource systems can be costly and time intensive,” said Joel Summers, senior vice president of Oracle Human Resources Management System development, in a news release.   “Our Configuration Workbench is designed to help customers achieve quicker, more substantial ROI from their HR systems, while reducing the total cost of ownership through rapid configuration and deployment that includes the unique requirements of a company.”

Once a configuration has been tested, the new product provides tools to simplify the conversion of legacy data by generating formatted spreadsheets that dynamically match any configuration and have built-in support for open systems integration, the announcement said.   Additionally, the workbench delivers a regression test generator to help customers manage changes to their configuration by generating individual regression tests and plans using their own data.
