SVIA Releases Glossary for Stable Value Investments

July 25, 2013 (PLANSPONSOR.com) - The Stable Value Investment Association (SVIA) has released a glossary for stable value investment options.

The glossary is intended to increase the understanding of the asset class by retirement plan participants, plan sponsors, consultants and policymakers.

According to SVIA, stable value is currently offered in more than 190,000 retirement plans and includes more than $701 billion, representing 14% of all defined contribution plan assets at the end of 2012.

Established in 1990, the Stable Value Investment Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating retirement plan sponsors and the public about the importance of saving for retirement, and the contribution stable value can make toward a financially secure retirement.
