Brad Untiedt, a senior relationship manager, has spent his career helping people achieve their retirement dreams. He started out focused on individual planning, including leading a team of advisers, before transitioning to retirement plan management, serving both corporate and tax-exempt clients. In his current role, he takes a consultative, strategic approach to helping clients design and enhance their workplace benefit programs. Brad studied finance at Notre Dame and earned an MBA from the University of Texas. He joined Charles Schwab seven years ago.

“Brad assisted us with two important circumstances surrounding the administration of our 401(k) plan. Specifically:

• We experienced a cybersecurity attack last fall, which caused inbound and outbound files between Schwab and us to be affected. Brad worked with his internal resources to assist with processing manual files, making participant adjustments as needed, and coordinating with Schwab’s service team to field participant calls. He came up with a creative approach on how to fund participant accounts, as we were unable to process correct payroll files during the incident. We estimated payroll deductions, and adjustments were made by Schwab once the incident was resolved. Brad was instrumental in working with us to come up with a solution that worked for both Schwab and us.
• We began a payroll file conversion from SAP to BenefitFocus last year. Brad was very influential in the planning process and coordinated to get the right team on board to handle the conversion. He has continued to provide insight to the appropriate teams to ensure the data needed to properly administer the plan, now and in the future, has and will be implemented.”
